About Us

    hi BUDDHA!

    • HiBuddha, the Korean Buddhist Organization
In the rush of everyday life, take a moment to pause.
      Reflect. Breathe.
HiBuddha brings the timeless wisdom of
      Buddhism into your daily life.
      Look inside yourself clearly.
      Practice kindness toward others.
    • • Spritual Power: Drawing from the Buddha’s
wisdom as a source of inner strength,
      we empower
ourselves to become stronger and more resilient.
      • Compassion: By sharing each other’s suffering
and multiplying our joys, we strive together for a happier world.
      • Wisdom: Through awakening and insight,we help you
fulfill your aspirations and make wise, balanced decisions.
    • “HiBuddha” has two friendly meanings:
      saying “Hi” to Buddha,
      and connecting to Buddha’s
“High” wisdom. We hope Buddhism’s practical
      wisdom
will help you overcome difficulties and walk
      your own path with freedom.

    -

    The roof

The roof represents a traditional temple,
but it also symbolizes our everyday homes.
This means the teachings of the Buddha
    are not limited to
a special place—they are alive in our daily lives.
It visually expresses our core idea:
"Everyday life itself is the place of practice."

    -

    The Buddha beneath the roof

The Buddha beneath the roof is more than
    a symbol of enlightenment.
Instead, it represents modern people who
practice Buddha’s teachings in daily life.
This embodies the idea that practitioners
can achieve true freedom by applying
Buddha’s wisdom without leaving their everyday lives.

    Hyewol Zen Center :
    Beginning with Tradition and Innovation

In 1994, HiBuddha’s journey began at Hyewol Zen Center, meaning "Moon of Wisdom."
With 100 dedicated members, we passionately taught the Diamond Sutra and Four
Pillars astrology(Saju) eight times per week. We expanded online through Zen Master
Zigong’s popular Korean blog, "True Buddhism Stories." Hyewol Zen Center
continued until 2002 and provided a strong foundation for HiBuddha’s future.
